HOW TO ANIMATE IMAGES
Here are instruction on how to post moving / animated pictures.
It is a little tricky, but not so hard to do especially if you are comfortable on computers.
Now we can do pictures in Sparkpeople, you can also do animated emoticons.
If you know HMTL it is easier, but I will give you some examples to help you out.
Non Techy way to do this:
Add an image (use the button to do this at the top of the text box for your post). Put in any picture you have on your computer. It will put in into your post something that looks like:
the less than symbol followed by
img src="http://photos-ak.sparkpeople.com/nw/ bunch of numbers .jpg"
and ending with the greater than symbol
Find the web page that has the animated gif you want to use. You need to be seeing the actual web page
One I like is:
http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/smileys/f
ree-jumping-smileys-463.gif
Put that name inside the quotes (erasing the text already there).
Now after you post your message, you will see an animated emoticon running around saying Whoo Hoo.
Techy Way to do this:
Just type in
less than symbol followed by
img src=""
and ending with the greater than symbol.
Then put inside the quotes the url where the animated gif is the only thing on the page.
TIPS:
Sometimes it is not as easy as the instructions above. Tips that can help:
Photobucket - look to the right of the picture for a direct link and copy that one to use.
If the link you pasted ends in ... gif.html then take off the .html so you end with just ...gif
You need to get to the page where the emoticon wiggles/moves and that is the page you use to copy the link from.
If you want to change the size, use height "nnn" width "nnn" after img, where nnn is the pixals. Doing a right click properties on the picture might give you the pixal size of the original one.
Some fun animated emoticons:

Note you have to take off the .html from the one above to actually use it.
You can search for animated emoticons or animated smileys or even animated pictures (regular pictures that wiggle around).
