By joining BLC and accepting your placement on THE NAVY NINJAS, we expect that YOU WILL:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) Post on our team thread often….
The posting rule in BLC states that we must post at least 3 times on 3 separate days every week.
That is the minimum requirement. Do we strive for the minimum in life? As Ninjas, we expect more. By posting more than 3 days per week, you are holding yourself accountable. Never feel like your bad day or lack of success on the scale will hold our team back. We are a TEAM. We want to be here; we want to help you; and we want you to help us.
In addition, posting is not just updating us on your progress and ignoring what the others on this team are discussing. Posting includes responding to others. We do not want anyone to feel overwhelmed here or expect you to respond to every single post. Just do your best to post as often as you can and respond to as many as you can, especially to those who respond to you.
Finally, this is a virtual discussion board. We cannot see facial expressions when we post. So please be as clear as possible with your wording, and if anyone seems to be posting offensively, please Sparkmail one of your team captains so that we can try to remedy the situation. We do not want to lose anyone because of a possible misunderstanding.
2) Weigh-in weekly on time…
You will record your weight in the appropriate column of the Ninja Tracking Spreadsheet. Be sure to hit Enter when you have recorded your weight!
The Weigh In column will be easily recognized!
You MUST weigh-in every Wednesday. Please do so as early as possible to ensure that you do not forget. If you will miss a weigh-in, you will need to post your reason in the Ninja Chat Thread or send a SparkMail to your Captain before weigh-in day.
WEIGH-IN RULES REFRESHER
1. Weigh-ins MUST be posted in the Tracking Spreadsheet by midnight in your time zone every Wednesday.
2. Members who miss 2 consecutive weigh-ins will be moved to floater status and may be ineligible for the next Round.
3. Members who miss a TOTAL of 3 weigh-ins (excused OR unexcused) will be moved to floater status and may be ineligible for the next round of BLC.
3) Participate in challenges…
A printable weekly schedule will be provided every Monday (or Tuesday) for the following week (Wednesday through Tuesday). We do not want anyone to burn out or feel like you have to alter your life to fit what we are doing; however, we do ask for 100% participation in all of our challenges!
WE EXPECT PARTICIPATION, NOT PERFECTION!!!!
Yes, we say Participation, not Perfection but that doesn't mean that consistently doing a little bit of each challenge just to be able to say you participated will be okay. And that doesn’t mean that WE won’t be aiming for Perfection! If you want results, you need to work for it! That's what a challenge is all about!
IMPORTANT - You should track your challenge results by posting them on our Ninja Tracking Spreadsheet under the appropriate area. If they are not posted by 9 pm the day after each challenge ends, your totals may not be counted in our team tally when we are competing against other teams. However, if for some reason you cannot get your challenge totals posted by the 9 pm deadline, please still post them. We do have an ongoing Ninja incentive system in place in which your challenge participation will still count. (See points system.)
Members who do not participate in challenges will be moved to floater status and may be ineligible for the next round of BLC.
4) Do not disappear...
We understand that life happens outside of BLC. Please let us know when something is going on that will keep you from participating on our team. We will try to work something out so that you can remain active, but if that is not an option, we do ask that you please let us know.
